My name is Chelsea, and I’m the owner and chef behind Cajun Flare, a Micro-Enterprise Home Kitchen Operation based in Reseda. I’m originally from Crowley, Louisiana — the Rice Capital of America — and I started Cajun Flare to share the bold, soulful flavors of my hometown with my community here in L.A.
At Cajun Flare, I serve up home-style Cajun meals that are packed with spice, soul, and Southern comfort. My rotating monthly menu features dishes like jambalaya, gumbo, smothered okra, turkey wings and rice, and crawfish fettuccine — all made fresh in small batches once a month, so every meal is full of flavor and cooked with care.
Every Saturday, I serve seafood boils with options like shrimp, mussels, squid, blue crab, scallops, and seasonal crawfish. I even include vegetarian-friendly choices like corn, potatoes, broccoli, sweet onions, and mushrooms — so everyone can enjoy a taste of Cajun flavor. And to finish things off, I make beignets, sweet potato pies, and king cake for that perfect touch of Louisiana sweetness.
What makes Cajun Flare unique is that everything I make connects back to my roots. Even the rice I use is sourced directly from the Crowley Rice Mill in my hometown — bringing an authentic piece of Louisiana to every plate. My food is full of spice, culture, and comfort — exactly what Cajun cooking is all about.
My goal is to share real Louisiana flavor with people who crave food that’s made from the heart — flavorful, filling, and unforgettable.
If you love bold, authentic Cajun food, I invite you to try Cajun Flare and taste the difference for yourself. You can also follow me on Instagram @CajunFlare to see what’s cooking next — because around here, we like it bold, we like it flavorful, and we like it with Cajun Flare.
